Technology

At Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, we prepare students to thrive in a digital world through a dynamic, age-appropriate Technology program.

Our Technology program equips students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world. Aligned with the California Computer Science Standards and Technology Integration Frameworks, our K–8 curriculum fosters responsible digital citizenship, computational thinking, and creativity through hands-on learning experiences.

In Grades K–2, students explore basic computer operations, digital tools, and online safety. They develop foundational skills such as typing, using educational software, and understanding how technology supports learning and communication.

In Grades 3–5, students build on these skills by engaging in  multimedia projects, and digital research. They learn to use technology as a tool for problem-solving, collaboration, and creative expression while deepening their understanding of digital responsibility.

In Grades 6–8, students advance their skills through data analysis, and design projects. Emphasis is placed on computational thinking, critical evaluation of digital information, and ethical use of technology. Students also explore emerging technologies and develop skills to prepare them for high school and beyond.

Throughout all grade levels, our program integrates technology across the curriculum to support creativity, communication, and critical thinking, preparing students to be confident, ethical, and innovative users of technology.
