OLG Parent - Teacher - Group Board

All parents are members of our Parent Teacher Group (PTG).   The PTG coordinates volunteers for the school and spearheads social and vital fundraising activities.  It provides the opportunity for every parent to be actively involved in areas designated by the principal and coordinated by the officers and committee chairpersons.  These officers, members of the PTG Board, usually meet the second Tuesday of each month.  All parents are welcome.

The purposes of the PTG are:

• to involve the parents in a supportive role in various aspects of the school
• to enlist the spiritual, educational, and social resources of home and school in order to provide the best Catholic education possible
• to foster the integration of families into the life of the local parish community
• to promote a broader appreciation of the ideals of Catholic education
• to provide social opportunities for families
• to promote a sense of community within the school, parish, and local community

Social activities throughout the school year include:

• New Parents' Meeting
• Welcome Back Coffee
• Kindergarten Families Potluck
• First Grade Potluck
• Family Fun Night
• End-of-Year Picnic
• Padre Night
