Sixth Grade - Mrs. Sato

My name is Rachel Sato and I am the 6th grade homeroom teacher and 8th grade Social Studies teacher. Each day, we work in these classes to become 21st century learners that can confidently navigate the ever-changing world with a Christian foundation to lean upon. This is my fourth year at Our Lady of Grace and I feel so blessed to be able to work with these wonderful students and continue my own life-long educational and spiritual journey.

My college career began in 2009 at the university of California, Riverside where I received my bachelor’s degree in religious studies. There, I also began my work with children as I got to be a researcher for the childhood cognition lab. After that, I attended the university of California, Irvine to get my masters in teaching and my multiple subject teaching credential. At OLG, I found my passion as a middle school teacher and absolutely love my job.

I always do my best to stay on top of the most current research and educational practices to give my students the best instruction possible. I love putting students in control of their own learning and watching the innovative results that follow. When I’m not teaching, you can find me at park playing with my dog, Hamilton, or at Disneyland, de-stressing with a churro.
