    Hello Parents

Happy New Year! Your students are working hard this second half of the year.  They are learning to
write a narrative essay and working with decimals in Math.  We have even challenged ourselves and have
been doing some sixth grade Math.  We are continuing to read the classic Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott
O’Dell and will soon be learning about the thirteen colonies in Social Studies.
A friendly reminder –  quarter two is quickly coming to an end  If your child has been absent recently,
please remind him/her to turn in work next week.  Quarter three is right around the corner, so
    keep up the good work!

Hope to see you all at the open house on Friday night, January 27.

    Mrs. Sepulveda

    August 27, 2011

Welcome to Fifth Grade!  I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to Fifth Grade.  I hope you enjoyed your summer.  Let me tell you a little bit about your new teacher.  I came from St. Didacus School where I was a Sixth Grade teacher.  I,  too, am a product of Catholic school education.  I am really looking forward to working with you this coming year.  I wish you a safe and fun summer and see you back on August 29.
