Financial Aid
OLG provides a limited amount of need-based aid for members of the Our Lady of Grace Parish. Information will be made available at time of enrollment, and all applications are completed in a confidential manner through the FACTS on-line system.

Mass & Sacraments
Students attend the Parish weekday Mass, Adoration and Benediction on the first Tuesday of each month, every Friday throughout Advent and Lent, and as a class on one designated day per month. The school attends, on average, one prayer service per month. These school-wide prayer services are planned and hosted by each class, beginning the 2nd Grade year. Reconciliation is made in Church by grades 3-8 monthly. Students in Grade 2 prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist both in class and at home.

Faculty
All OLG teachers hold a California Teaching Credential. Grades K – 2 have a classroom aide, and Grades 3-5 have instructional aides. Our Junior High is departmentalized with teachers for Language Arts, Math, Literature, Social Studies, Religion, Spanish, Science, and Physical Education.

Volunteer Service
Every family is required to perform service hours. Our school continues to be exceptional because parents typically go above and beyond their commitment. Volunteering is a great way to meet the students and parents, and there are many opportunities to help. At home and weekend tasks are available as well.

Technology
Students in Grades 1-5 attend class in the Technology Lab once per week to learn Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as practicing keyboarding skills on our recently upgraded hardware and software. OLG stays up-to-date with technology and internet security through our support and maintenance contract with our service provider.  Our teachers utilize iPad and Chromebook technology within the classrooms for hands-on, engaging instructional enhancement, and our school maintains a secure, site-wide wireless internet system.

Physical Education and Extra-Curricular Sports
All grades attend two physical education classes per week with an instructor, focusing on fitness and sportsmanship. OLG participates in the Catholic Sports League, fielding teams in Soccer for grades K-8, Girls Volleyball in Grades 5-8, Girls Basketball in Grades 3-8, Girls Cheerleading in Grade 8, Boys Basketball in Grades 3-8, and Boys Flag Football in Grades 5-8. This is an extra-curricular option, after school hours.

Art
Grades 1-6 attend Art Studio once per week with an instructor. Emphasis is placed on technique, and curriculum is planned to complement the course of study in each grade level.

Fundraising
As with all schools, fundraising is necessary to bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of education. Our Gala auction event is the largest fundraiser of the year, and is our main source of additional revenue and parents are strongly encouraged to be involved in the process and attend the event.  We also encourage our families to actively participate in the Gift Certificate program during the Christmas season, which provides revenue for enhancements to the facilities and curriculum. A student participation event, the OLG Fun Run, completes our major school-wide fundraising efforts.
